Arden Fitzpatrick currently works as an Assistant Teacher in Kindergarten at Marymount School of New York where she has been for the past four years, working in First Grade for the first two. Prior to that, she pursued a Fulbright Teaching Grant in Gran Canaria, Spain where she taught ESL at an elementary school to nursery through fifth grade students. Arden delights in adapting and creating lessons to account for student need and interest. Individualized lessons, full of engaging games and explicit instruction, are at the core of her teaching.
Arden's main focuses are Literacy (Reading, Writing), Math, and Spanish. She has experience with Singapore Math as well as various literacy programs such as Fundations and Writer's and Reader's Workshop. She has previously run Yoga and Spanish after school programs for her students and currently leads the extended day program twice a week. She graduated from Georgetown University Summa Cum Laude in 2020 with a major in Spanish. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Early Childhood Special Education at Fordham's Graduate School of Education. Arden is an eager and passionate educator, ready to connect with and help her students blossom and grow.
