Jessica Elias

Jessica has been teaching, tutoring, and coaching in New York City for over 15 years and is passionate about helping all students grow as readers, writers, and thinkers. She is certified in both general and special education, as well as school/district leadership. As a founding teacher at PS 527, Jessica played a key role in building the school’s literacy programs. She currently serves as a district Academic Intervention Coordinator and coaches teachers throughout NYC. She utilizes a structured literacy approach and is trained in Orton-Gillingham, Fundations, Wit & Wisdom, HMH, and The Writing Revolution, along with a wide range of other evidence-based programs and techniques.

Jessica also specializes in executive function coaching, helping students build the skills they need to thrive academically and beyond. Lastly, she is adept at supporting families and guiding them through the special education process in both public and private school settings, empowering them to understand their options and advocate effectively for their children.

Outside of school, Jessica enjoys traveling, visiting museums, cooking, and exploring the city with her husband and two young children.
