K - 8th Grade
Originally hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, Claudia survived two Polar Vortexes (and a few milder Midwest winters) at The University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she earned two degrees: a regular Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV/Film and a Journalism Bachelor of Arts with a focus on strategic communication (advertising and public relations) through the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Upon graduation, she moved to Chicago to start her career at an advertising agency. A year later, Claudia had a not-even-quarter-life crisis and decided to follow in the footsteps of four generations before her to become a teacher. Needless to say, no one was surprised by this career change...she was granted the Senior Superlative of "Teacher's Pet" after all.
Once back in the Bay Area, Claudia attended graduate school and earned her California multiple-subject teaching license with an English Learner Authorization, certifying her to teach all subjects, Kindergarten through 8th grade. She has experience teaching and tutoring in grades Kindergarten through 5th across all subjects in both California and New York City. Currently, Claudia is a 1st grade head teacher at The Caedmon School on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Previously, she was a 1st grade head teacher at Nightingale-Bamford School.
In her spare time, you can find her quoting Kristen Wiig, singing Broadway show tunes, or correcting your grammar.
