Rachel Cohen graduated from University College London with a B.Sc. in Psychology. After working in finance, she returned to the US and completed her post-baccalaureate degree at NYU, during which time she worked on multiple psychiatric units and volunteered with inmates on Rikers Island. She will be joining the NYU Grossman School of Medicine in the fall as part of their three-year program, which guarantees her a position in their psychiatry residency.

Rachel scored in the 99th percentile on her MCAT, with a perfect score on the CARS section. She has over a decade’s experience teaching students in writing and a range of STEM subjects and a proven track record of immediate results. As a non-traditional applicant, she greatly enjoys helping students find their passion for medicine, no matter how late or how early. When not focusing on her academic endeavors, Rachel can be found in a boxing ring or relaxing with her two dogs.
